Brrr! We got clobbered with snow in Iceland today and I was hoping to escape it to warm, sunny Washington DC, but it's just as bad there now! Hopefully it won't interfere with our travels.
We were so excited to get the call to be included on the Kennedy Center's Nordic Cool festival, and now to be able to go as the official band of Reykjavik is quite an honor. It's only March and it's already been a heck of a year. We're looking forward to recording another trio album when we get back, but for now please come see us Friday in Washington DC and/or Saturday in Charlottesville if you have skis or a toboggan. Wonderful show last night at the Kennedy Center. Too many pianists today seem to have the primary goal of showing the world how talented they are. This group has a different objective: Let's play original music with beautiful melodies that will engage and move the audience. What a welcome change!
